Giggs frustrated by injuries

MANCHESTER UNITED winger Ryan Giggs has admitted that he is frustrated and bitterly disappointed that his season has been blighted by injury.

Giggs is preparing to play for Wales against Argentina on Wednesday but is gutted at the way this season has worked out for him up to now.

The flying Welshman has looked to have been in the finest form of his career this term but has been in and out of the side due to persistent hamstring injuries that have left him kicking his heels on the sidelines.

"It's been a frustrating season for me. I have missed a lot because of niggling hamstring injuries," said Giggs.

"I felt that they had gone away but it's been stop-start and I have not been able to get more than five games on the trot. It's been stop-start and very frustrating.

"I know that when I have played my form has been good. But then I end up missing a couple of games. It's been annoying."

Giggs is hoping to be a major force as the champions go for another league title and also chase the Champions League

"We are always determined because the challenge is there and it's bigger than it has been for a few years now, because we won it so easily in the last couple of years.

"In the Treble season it was close with Arsenal, but this season any of the top four teams can win it.

"We are just looking to win every game. The Champions League soon does mean that you tend to drop points, but we can't afford to do that this time."
