City have two fingers on title

City boss adamant his squad will not become complacent at final hurdle

Roberto Mancini knows Manchester City are within touching distance of the Premier League title but will not be allowing his players to get carried away. A win over relegation-threatened Queens Park Rangers at the Etihad Stadium on the final day of the season will see the club lift their first top-flight silverware in 44 years. Vitally important wins over Newcastle and title rivals Manchester United in recent weeks have put City within sight of the trophy. And Mancini knows his squad are so close they can almost reach out and grab the Premier League title. "We have two fingers on the trophy. But it is not enough, because we still have one more game and it is a difficult one," said the Italian. "My feeling is good after the Newcastle result and so is the feeling of the players. But we need to play the QPR game in the right mood."

Concentration

QPR, managed by former City boss Mark Hughes, will be no pushovers as they battle to avoid relegation and Mancini knows his squad cannot become complacent. "We have managed to keep the players' feet on the ground," said the City boss. "We did it before we played United. Then we did it last week before we played Newcastle. We won't change anything. "If we don't keep our concentration and prepare well for the game, it will end up being very difficult." Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has continued to attempt to unsettle City by suggesting they could fall at the last hurdle. But Mancini said: "We don't have pressure. Leading up to the Newcastle game, maybe we had some. But not now. "We just need to play one game and we just need to play as we did on Sunday."
