Hulk has signed a new five-year contract with Zenit St. Petersburg until the end of the 2018/19 season.
The Brazilian forward's contract was due to run out in the summer of 2017, but the Russian club have secured his services for another two years.
Hulk, who has 41 caps for his country, signed for Zenit from Porto in 2012.
The 28-year-old has scored 44 goals in 92 games for Zenit, and is currently under the stewardship of his former Porto boss Andre Villas-Boas.
Zenit face PSV in the Europa League round of 32 this week, and currently lie top of the Russian league, seven points clear of second place CSKA Moscow.
