Swans boss hoping striker is not badly injured

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers is crossing his fingers on Stephen Dobbie's ankle injury against Norwich. The striker came off the bench in Saturday's 3-1 loss at Carrow Road, but he picked up a knock late on. Dobbie seemed to twist his left ankle under a challenge from on-loan Kyle Naughton in the latter stages of the contest. The 29-year-old tried to play on as Rodgers had utilised all his substitutions, but with the game out of sight he was then withdrawn.

Knock

"He got a knock on it. He couldn't run at all, he was okay in a straight line but any time he tried to twist and turn," said Rodgers. "With only a couple of minutes to go I said to him about coming off so he mentioned it to the ref and we got him off. "There was no need to make it any worse. It probably was the end to disappointing day for us."
