Blackpool striker departs on loan

Striker Jason Euell has joined Doncaster on loan from Blackpool, subject to clearance from the Premier League. The 34-year-old has moved to Rovers for an initial one-month spell and comes straight into manager Sean O'Driscoll's plans for Saturday's testing trip to Swansea. Euell admitted he had become frustrated by his lack of action with the Seasiders this term and had already spoken to Ian Holloway about the possibility of a loan move. "The gaffer at Blackpool told me Doncaster were interested in me coming over and playing some games to help them out during their injury problems," he said.

Frustrating

"I jumped at the chance because I could get some games. It's frustrating not getting games and I've spoken to Ian a few times about getting out to play on loan. "Doncaster's style suits me as it's similar to Blackpool's and they were one of the clubs who gave us problems last season with their type of play." Euell has spent most of his career playing in the Premier League with Wimbledon, Charlton and Middlesbrough before a spell with Southampton, He joined Blackpool on a free transfer in the summer of 2009.
