German press claimed he was set to link up with former employers

Mercedes have downplayed reports Ross Brawn will leave the team at the end of the season to link up with Honda at McLaren.
Lots of questions about internet reports but there's nothing to report from the team's side....

Although Brawn told Sky Sports F1 at the Singapore GP last month that he was "planning to be here next year" in wake of reports that he might even be poised to buy Toto Wolff's share in Williams, there has still been uncertainty over whether or not he will remain as Mercedes Team Principal with the Englishman having hinted earlier in the season about a phased handover to Lowe.Chairman Niki has also spoken: "There's no decision on the long term. That's the situation. And that's been the situation for some time"
