Alex Dowsett has secured his WorldTour future with a three-year contract extension at the Spanish Movistar Team.
The Essex-based Brit claimed Commonwealth Games gold in the road time trial event in July and re-signs after a rousing performance at the recent Tour of Britain.
Dowsett rode into the lead of his home tour with a spirited ride in the breakaway on six, eventually finishing in eighth place overall.
The 25-year-old netted a sensational stage victory in his Grand Tour debut in the 2013 Giro d’Italia, edging out Sir Bradley Wiggins in the stage eight time trial.
Having started his professional cycling career with Team Sky, the three-time British national time trial champion moved to Movistar and - after they announced the new deal on their official website - Dowsett tweeted his own delight at prolonging his stay with the Spanish outfit.
"3 more years with @Movistar-Team, will be fluent in Spanish by 2017! #happyaslarry," he wrote.
The new contract means Dowsett will continue on with the Movistar Team and their other big-name riders such as Nairo Quintana and Alejandro Valverde.
