WWE Smackdown results: Naomi beats Natalya ahead of Divas Title clash

Rollins and Kane bicker again as Extreme Rules edges closer

Naomi displayed her new-found mean streak while beating Natalya on Smackdown.

The former Funkadactyl launched a blistering post-match assault on The Queen of Harts after defeating her with Rear View, just days before she attempts to win the Divas Championship from Nikki Bella at Extreme Rules.

Naomi snapped when she lost to Paige in a Battle Royal on Raw in London a few weeks ago and after taking out the Brit was handed a shot at Bella in Chicago on Sunday night.

And following a win over Nikki’s sister Brie recently, the Floridian will head into her Sky Sports Box Office match-up in a confident frame of mind.

Seth Rollins may not be equally bullish, though, after his issues with Kane – the man who will guard the steel cage when he defends his WWE World Heavyweight Title against Randy Orton at Extreme Rules - arose once again at the end of Smackdown’s main event.

The Aerialist was hurled back into the ring by the Big Red Monster while he teamed with Luke Harper to take on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns and was subsequently speared and pinned by The Big Dog, Reigns.

Kane had earlier jokingly asked Rollins to lay down for him, just as he had done for the former Shield star at The O2 Arena, and the pair’s relationship looks increasingly frosty ahead of Sunday’s all-important showdown.

Elsewhere on Smackdown, Dolph Ziggler and Adrian Neville proved too sprightly for the larger tandem of Bad News Barrett and Sheamus; Kofi Kingston bested Cesaro; and Rusev lost to Ryback via disqualification after attacking The Big Guy with a Russian chain.
