Roman Reigns reunited with Dean Ambrose to defy the Authority and pin friend-turned-enemy Seth Rollins.
The Authority allowed Reigns to pick any tag-team partner to face Rollins and Big Show in the main-event but warned that mystery Superstar would incur their wrath.
It was quite a threat considering the Authority fired Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan on Raw simply for taking a disliking to them.
Ambrose was brave enough to back up his ex-Shield team-mate Reigns in a major statement against the Authority’s power. Ambrose leapt out of the ring knocking down Big Show and the on-looking Kane and J&J Security allowing Reigns to pin Rollins.
It was their second ruck of the night – SmackDown began with Rollins bragging about his association with the Authority before Reigns forcibly shut him up.
Bryan’s coming back…
Elsewhere, The Usos won a triple-threat tag-team match against The Miz and Damien Mizdow, and Goldust and Stardust.
Bad News Barrett lost to Sin Cara (but fortunately his Intercontinental title wasn’t on the line) before the Englishman entered the Royal Rumble.
Big E beat Adam Rose, Alicia Fox beat Naomi and The Ascension thrashed another pair of local athletes.
And don’t forget – Daniel Bryan returns on next week’s SmackDown! Yes, yes, yes!
