Angling Consultant Rob Wootton won the latest Fish 'O' Mania qualifier at Tunnel Barn Farm Fishery.
Although blistering hot conditions prevailed all day for the 130 anglers in Warwick on Saturday, the weights were very impressive with seven weights over the magic ton and the lowest 10 peg section winning weight being 65lbs 3ozs.
Shimano Dynamite star Wootton came top of the bunch with 135lbs 14ozs. The Leicestershire resident fished long pole with worms across to the island at peg 10 on Canal pool to take a mixed net of F1's, carp and barbel to 2lbs.
Runner-up Luke Bamford from Nottinghamshire drew peg 19 on Club pool where he fished corn down the side to land a succession of carp to 7lbs for his 129lbs 11ozs.
Third place fell to Andrew Morley from Sheffield who fished pellet shallow and corn down the edge for his net of carp and barbel weighing in at 114lbs 5ozs with his biggest fish at 8lbs.
In fourth place was Kieron Rich, a Fishing Coach from Manchester, who weighed 113lbs 11ozs from peg 8 on Jennys pool, and Adam Richards from Billingham finished in fifth place with 105lbs 1oz from peg 4 on Canal pool.
With only five Fish 'O' Mania qualifiers remaining for 2012 the venue to watch on Wednesday May 30 will be Messingham Sands near Scunthorpe to see who will be the 12th qualifier to book their place in the Fish 'O' Mania grand final on July 14.
