Bernard: ex Magpie flies in

You won't want to miss Saturday's action-packed edition of Soccer AM.

That's because we've got an experienced Premier League defender, a film star, NFL cheerleaders and an indie band in the studio - and plenty of eye-catching goals to show you, too.

Former Newcastle defender Olivier Bernard, who also played for Southampton, Rangers and Lyon, will, among other things, give us his take on the Toon's current penchant for French imports, which have led some fans to call it the 'Oui Club'.

Rafe Spall, meanwhile, has starred in some of the biggest films of in the last few years. After making his name in Channel 4's Pete Versus Life he has gone on to feature in Ridley Scott's Prometheus and Ang Lee's Life of Pi. His latest film, comedy I Give It a Year, is out in February.

The Courteeners' Liam and Campbell are also in the studio and joined by the Jacksonville Jaguars cheerleaders as the excitement grows ahead of Super Bowl XLVII between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday.
