Making my debut

An Oscar worthy performance from the lyrical genius

Last Updated: 02/03/12 6:22pm

I'm on the train on the way to Reading with Frankie Fryer (Baby Elvis) and it's a pretty nice day, but I haven't had time to take in the weather over the last few days!

"With my tutu packed away and out of sight I headed off on Friday to make my music video debut for Sway's track 'Level Up', and between me and you I think my next stop will be the Oscars after that performance! "

Quotes of the week

At the start of last week I went off to interview Jermain Defoe, which hopefully you caught on Saturday's show and then Chris Smalling, which will be on this week.

And that was followed by a spot of ballet with a few Arsenal players! I did dust off my old tutu, but that was about as much as I did on the ballet front.

Instead I left it to Wojciech Szczesny, Bacary Sagna, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alex Song and they were all more than happy to get involved.

And before you ask it was for an advert... it's not part of their usual training regime or anything! That said, it didn't do them any harm against Tottenham on Sunday, so maybe it should be!

Joking aside, it was a lot of fun, but a lot harder than I thought it would be. We started filming at about 7am and didn't finish until 2.30am the next day, so it was a long one.

I play a student who's just won the lottery in it and we filmed all over the place. We started off in a shop in Lewisham, and then we were in St Paul's and there were red carpets, champagne and Lamborghinis along the way too, so it wasn't all bad. In fact I might even start playing the lottery!

Winning

After a brief taste of the good life it was back to work on Saturday and we had a great show with Robbie Fowler, Sue Johnston and Mick Foley on the orange sofas. And things got even better when I got to Stamford Bridge.

It was good to see the team get back to winning ways and It was a really good performance, too. I didn't celebrate too hard on Saturday night though, because on Sunday I went to meet a few England players.

They were at the England Footballers Foundation in Barbican so I grabbed them on the red carpet and spat some lyrics at them. All the squad were there, except for the Liverpool and Man Utd players, and I managed to grab time with most of them, including Ashley Cole, Gary Cahill, Daniel Sturridge, Adam Johnson and Joe Hart.

I cut it yesterday in the edit suite and there were some decent reactions in there, so hopefully it looks good.

On Wednesday I went to Wembley to see them all in action against Holland and it's a shame they didn't hold on for the draw in the end, but it was an enjoyable match.

Being a friendly you could tell no one was really going full pelt, but it was good to see the youngsters playing well. That said, the standout performer for me was probably Scott Parker. He's an absolute ledge and I think he'll make a great captain.

Bring on the Euros!

Bryan Part (Liverpool fan) says... Tubes, I love watching you every Saturday, you always crack me up, but what I want to know is what would be your starting XI for England's first game at Euro 2012?

Tubes says:Good question Bryan! It's tough because Wayne Rooney is obviously suspended and Darren Bent might not make it through injury. But I'll give it a go. I'd play 4-4-2 and here's how I'd line them up; Hart, Walker, Jones, King, Cole - Parker (c), Wilshere, Sturridge, Lennon - Welbeck, Defoe. It's a bit experimental, but I reckon it could work!
