So it looks like it will have to be third time lucky for Accordintolawrence!
We all had our fingers crossed as our summer signing lined up for his second race in Soccer AM colours at Chepstow on Saturday. Unfortunately the conditions weren't quite right for him and he pulled up.
He's only five so we won't be getting on his back just yet, although finding out out that Teaforthree - last season's steed - won on the same day hasn't helped his cause! At this rate we might be asking for our money back!
Inside the office and we're still two men down with both James (broken leg) and Baby Elvis (flu) out of action. It means a bit of extra work for everyone else but that should come as a welcome distraction after the dreaded words 'Dance Off' were uttered for the first time this week.
It might still be four weeks away but trust us when we say there will be a lot of sleepless nights between now and then!
The thought of work-ex Stu getting a Mario Balotelli style Mohican has cheered everyone up, however.
Known simply as 'The Hair' around Sky, it's fair to say he takes a lot of time and care over his barnet.
So much so that when the 'stylist' Super Mario uses told Chris he was willing to showcase his talent on one of the crew, we naturally looked at the only non-permanent member of the team.
It's fair to say he wasn't best pleased!
"I've got my sideburns insured, so there's no way I'm getting a bleached Mohican!"
We've got one question for you Stu... how much do you really want this job!?
That show of dissent aside, Stu's been great this season and has given us some brilliant nuggets of information over the last few weeks. None more so than the fact this week's guest Greg Davies used to be his drama teacher!
The stand-up comedian and actor is probably best known for playing the headmaster in The Inbetweeners and once put Stu in charge of 'lighting' for a production at his school. He mustn't have wanted Stu to upstage the other kids with his acting tekkers...
Nearly as embarrassing as that was Ashley's blasé admission that he watches Coronation Street:
"I was watching Coronation Street the other day and...," he began.
"Hang on a minute you were what!?"
"I was watching Coronation Street. Well actually, I was watching the omnibus at the weekend because I missed it during the week. What's wrong with that?"
Frankly Ash, if you don't know what's wrong with that we can't help you mate...
Finally, with the festive season upon us Dev has decided we need a Santa Claus character on the show and he reckons he's got the perfect person.
"Well I was thinking we could have a 'Bad Santa' type character and then turned around and saw Trev and thought he'd fit the part."
Well proximity is as good a reason as any other we guess.
See you on Saturday!
