A slightly jet lagged Example dropped by the Soccer AM studios on Saturday to talk New Years and his new single.

"I hate all the celebrations. Pretending you love everyone and all that!"

Quotes of the week

Big things are being expected of the London-based rapper after his single 'Watch The Sun Come Up' smashed into the top 20 last year.

His latest effort Won't Go Quietly is released later this month and he told Soccer AM that his new album has a very distinct "electro pop vibe".

The Fulham fan returned from a short break in Australia this week to play two New Year's Eve gigs at London's O2 arena and KOKO in Camden, but admitted he wasn't a big fan of the celebrations.

"I hate all the celebrations," he told Soccer AM. "Pretending you love everyone and all that! 'I love you so much, this year's been so good, but it's all about next year!'"

Naturally, Helen and Max had lots of questions for him about his music, including...

Why has he changed his sound?

Is singing more stressful than rapping?

And... why are there so many beautiful women in his videos!?
