McAllister and Gerrard: will assess how Liverpool's campaign is progressing

Goals on Sunday is delighted to welcome Steven Gerrard as a special guest this weekend.

Liverpool and England captain will be on the sofa alongside former club team-mate Gary McAllister to review Saturday's action and to tell some tales about life in football.

They'll join Ben Shephard and Chris Kamara from 11am on Sunday morning to look back at the Premier League highlights and there'll doubtless be close attention paid to Liverpool's home game with Norwich.

And Gerrard will also answer questions about his spectacular career which has seen him lift the Champions League trophy and play 100 times for England.

He'll also discuss the state of things at Anfield under Brendan Rodgers and talk about his hopes for the club for the rest of the season and in the years ahead.

Fellow guest McAllister played alongside Gerrard at Anfield between 2000 and 2002 and they were both part of the Gerard Houllier side that won the UEFA Cup, the FA Cup and the League Cup in 2001.

He also played with distinction for the likes of Leicester, Leeds and Coventry and will no doubt have plenty to say about his old team-mate Gordon Strachan being named as the new Scotland manager this week.

As usual, we'll show you the best of the action from the Premier League, Championship and SPL so there's no reason not to tune in.

Don't miss Goals on Sunday, 11am on Sky Sports 1 HD.
