On this week's wintery Get Involved, we headed to the rink to find out more about ice skating - a popular festive pastime amongst the British public.
Somerset House in central London is visited by 100,000 skate lovers every Christmas, while many more people frequent the 52 permanent ice rinks throughout Britain, including the open-all-year Alexandra Palace.
13-year-old skater Summer Herbert has already represented Great Britain in international competition and she told us why the sport is so exciting.
"It's not like any other sport," she said. "It's athletic and you get full of adrenaline. It's like going in a car because you are moving so fast. I love it."
The British Champions are taking place in Sheffield this weekend with entrants judged on technical ability, choreography and interpretation.
But the sport is easily accessible for novices, too, so for more information on how and where you get your skates on, visit www.iceskating.org.uk
The only thing left to do is watch the video at the top of the screen for an ice-skating master-class from British star Peter Hallam - and then Get Involved!
