David Jones and his panel will be talking youth football on this week's show.

Nick Levett, the FA's National Development Manager for Youth; Ged Roddy, the Premier League's Director of Youth; and Tony Carr, West Ham's Director of Youth Development, will be in the studio.

The boys will discuss the Elite Player Performance Plan, a scheme devised by Roddy that hopes to boost the number and abilities of home-grown players at Premier League clubs - and, ultimately, the success of England's national team.

However, Nick, Ged and Tony will also take about myriad other aspects of football development, including how to encourage players to take up the game at grassroots level and the Premier League's Under-21 division, which aims to bridge the gap between the youth and first-team squads.

Plus, Carr will reveal the secrets of his success with the Hammers, having helped nurture the likes of Jermain Defoe, Glen Johnson, Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole and Frank Lampard through the Upton Park side's famed academy.
