Kevin Sinfield must play central role for Leeds in World Club Challenge, says Shaun McRae

Shaun McRae reckons Kevin Sinfield can guide Leeds to victory over Melbourne Storm in Friday night's World Club Challenge.

The Rhinos won the title last year by beating NRL rivals Manly Sea Eagles and Hull FC Director of Rugby McRae says they can repeat the trick at Headingley - provided skipper Sinfield galvanises his charges.

"I think what might catch Melbourne out is the cold climate - the conditions will suit Leeds - and they might be affected by the lack of match practice, too," he told Boots 'n' All.

"Plus, Danny McGuire, Kevin Sinfield and Rob Burrow have been ever-presents in that Rhinos team for a long time, and if Sinfield plays the leader and the calming influence and Leeds play to the best of their ability, they will threaten this Melbourne defence."
