Harry Kane: Tipped for England selection

Harry Kane should get the nod over Saido Berahino for a place in the England squad because of his devastating form, according to former Scotland striker Chris Iwelumo.

Kane has scored 24 goals in 40 games for Tottenham this season while Berahino has netted 18 times in 34 matches for West Brom.

With Roy Hodgson set to pick his squad for this month's European Championship qualifier against Lithuania, Iwelumo and former Blackburn Rovers defender Tony Gale both went for the Spurs forward.

Speaking on The Morning View on Sky Sports News HQ, Iwelumo said: "His attitude, work ethic, he brings so much to game.

"It's a no-brainer. There has to be a position made for him in the international squad.

"He's scored goals against the big teams, he has been a revelation this season.

"He got his minutes in league football and he’s so level headed and humble as well."

Saido Berahino: Had been unsettled at West Brom

Gale added the Tottenham star has more to his game than being a goal scorer.

He said: "You just have to look at the big games. He scores in the run of the mill games and in big games, he’s always in and around it.

"He can drop off behind the striker and play up top like Wayne Rooney.

"Rooney’s got to be in the squad, Daniel Sturridge has to be in there and Raheem Sterling has to be in there."

But Gale believes that Berahino has a bright future working at the Baggies.

“Tony Pulis is the perfect manager for him, he will give him a kick up the backside," said Gale.

"He got a bit too big for his boots in my opinion.

"He’s got a manager who will keep his feet on the floor."
