Arsenal v Manchester United – Saturday 22nd November, Sky Sports 1 (4.45pm)

It wasn’t too long ago that this was a title decider and even though these two giants of the English game are unlikely to be battling for the Premier League crown this season, it’s still just as important. Injuries, dips in form and unexpected defeats mean a place in next year’s Champions League is probably the best Arsenal and Manchester United can hope for, making victory vital for Arsene Wenger and his opposite number Louis van Gaal. The Dutch supremo let Danny Welbeck leave Old Trafford for the Gunners on deadline day and the England striker will face his former charges for the first time.

England v Samoa – Saturday 22nd November, Sky Sports 2 (6.30pm)

Stuart Lancaster has rung the changes for the third Autumn International against Samoa following close, but ultimately disappointing, defeats to New Zealand and South Africa. Talented fly-half George Ford is given his full debut and has been tasked with bringing the dazzling displays that have earned rave reviews at Bath to the international arena. Owen Farrell has moved to inside centre to accommodate his good friend and will retain the goal kicking duties, while James Haskell has been brought into the back row. England are expected to beat the Pacific Islanders and fans will be eager to see signs of improvement as the World Cup edges ever closer. England v Samoa is the third of three live Autumn Internationals on Sky Sports this weekend, coming hot on the heels of Italy against South Africa and the battle between Ireland and Australia, the sides ranked third and fourth in the world.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Sunday 23rd November, Sky Sports F1 (12pm)

Lewis Hamilton’s season-long duel with team-mate Nico Rosberg will finally be decided on Sunday. Hamilton holds the advantage in the fight for the world championship crown, but with double points up for grabs in Abu Dhabi, one wrong move could hand the title to Rosberg. The superiority of the Mercedes means Hamilton should only need to finish the race to win a second championship and he was almost two seconds faster than the next-best Ferrari in Friday practice. Sebastian Vettel will drive a Red Bull for the last time, while the uncertainty surrounding Jenson Button’s future means it could be the crowd favourite’s last F1 outing.

Crystal Palace v Liverpool – Sunday 23rd November, Sky Sports 1 (12.30pm)

This meeting last season proved pivotal in the title race. Liverpool surged into a 3-0 lead only to allow Crystal Palace to reply with three goals in nine minutes, including an 88th-minute leveller. The Reds lost two valuable points and their confidence was dashed going into the final stages of their campaign. Morale won’t exactly be high for Brendan Rodgers’ men this time around either on the back of three straight losses and following the news that Daniel Sturridge has suffered another injury setback.

Hull City v Tottenham – Sunday 23rd November, Sky Sports 1 (3.30pm)

Much was expected of Hull and Tottenham this season following the arrival of several new faces, but they find themselves separated by just three points in the wrong half of the table. A win on Sunday could change everything and wipe away the gloom ahead of the always hectic Christmas schedule. Midfield duo Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore will need to be at the best against their former club because the Tigers haven’t beaten Spurs in more than six years.

Graziano Pelle has hit the ground running at Southampton since his summer arrival

Aston Villa v Southampton – Monday 24th November, Sky Sports 1 (7pm)

Southampton will be chasing a fifth straight win and a fifth straight clean sheet when they travel to Villa Park for Monday Night Football. The Saints have been nothing short of fantastic this season, climbing to the heights of second in the Premier League despite concerns that selling the likes of Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw and Rickie Lambert would see them battling for survival. Expect new arrivals Dusan Tadic and Graziano Pelle, and England’s newest right-back Nathianel Clyne to shine once more against a Villa side that haven’t won in seven attempts. But that’s not all, as there’s loads of football to sink your teeth into on NOW TV this weekend. There are Football Leagues derbies between Brentford and Fulham and Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday, Barcelona face early-season surprise package Sevilla, and David Moyes takes charge of Real Sociedad for the first time against Deportivo La Coruna.

Sri Lanka v England – Wednesday 26th November, Sky Sports 2 (8pm)

England begin a seven-match ODI series against Sri Lanka on Wednesday, as their preparations for next year’s cricket world cup hot up. Moeen Ali starred with bat and ball in Friday’s warm-up against Sri Lanka’s A side and will hope to carry his form against the first XI when he opens the batting alongside captain Alastair Cook.

DP World Tour Championship – Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November, Sky Sports 4 (8am)

Rory McIlroy is on course to finish the year in style after sharing the early lead in the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. The world number one has already secured the European Tour Race to Dubai crown and hit a six-under-par 66 in the opening round of the season finale. McIlroy matched Shane Lowry’s clubhouse best and the pair are two shots clear of defending champion Henrik Stenson.
