FL72-Review: Peter Beagrie and Simon Thomas look at Football League

Last Updated: 25/08/13 6:29pm

Join Simon Thomas and Peter Beagrie on Monday evening

There was a washout in SE7 on Saturday, but the FL72 - Review will be no damp squib.

Simon Thomas and former Bradford, Man City and Everton winger Peter Beagrie will be sheltered in the Sky Studios canteen on Monday night to reflect on all the action from another cracking weekend in the Football League.

Simon and Beags are sure to discuss events at a water-soaked Valley where Charlton's clash with Doncaster was abandoned at half-time with the visitors holding a 3-1 lead courtesy of a Paul Keegan header and a Chris Brown brace.

But they will also chat about two of the Championship's five-star sides, after Blackburn fired a quintet of goals past Barnsley and Huddersfield did the same to newly-promoted Bournemouth at the John Smith's Stadium.

Plus, here's what else our Football League team may chew over...

CHAMPIONSHIP - QPR are one of four teams on 10 points - Nottingham Forest, Blackpool and Leicester are the others - after edging Dougie Freedman's Bolton 1-0 at the Reebok Stadium. Beags and Simon will assess the second tier promotion contenders

LEAGUE ONE - Early pacesetters Leyton Orient and Peterborough racked up three points on Saturday with triumphs over Crewe and Tranmere respectively, while rock-bottom Coventry drew 4-4 with Preston in a cracker. Our boys will discuss the drama

LEAGUE TWO - Peter will also look at the goings on in the basement division on a weekend which featured wins for, amongst others, Wimbledon, Bristol Rovers, Chesterfield and Fleetwood, plus a stalemate between Oxford and Wycombe

For all that and more, don't miss FL72 - Review, 6pm, Monday, Sky Sports 3.
