Carl Frampton (L) and Kiko Martinez kick-off at the weigh-in

Kiko Martinez continued to goad Carl Frampton at the weigh-in ahead of their European super-bantamweight title fight in Belfast on Saturday night.

The Spaniard, who currently holds the belt, had been vocal in the lead-up to the fight, saying Frampton was not as good as people were making out.

And after both men tipped the scales inside the 8st 10lb limit Martinez began a tirade of what can only be assumed as insults towards the 'Jackal'.

Much to the delight of the raucous crowd, a minor melee on the stage ensued before MC John McDonald restored order.

The Odyssey Arena is likely to be packed out on Saturday ahead of the much-anticipated fight while the stacked undercard features several of Ireland's favourites.

Belfast's Martin Lindsay tackles British featherweight champion Lee Selby while Andy Lee faces Anthony Fitzgerald on his first outing since joining trainer Adam Booth.

Eamonn O'Kane is back in action for the first time since his defeat to John Ryder, while heavyweight Martin Rogan returns in a four-rounder just a fortnight before appearing in international Prizefighter.

Super-middleweight prospect Callum Smith has his third professional outing, against Tommy Tolan.
