Jade Jones admits she will be under more pressure than ever to succeed at this year's World Championships

After a whirlwind year of Olympic success and receiving an MBE, Taekwondo golden girl Jade Jones admits the pressure will be high as she returns to competition this year.

"It's going to be a different challenge because everyone's going to be expecting me to do well."

Having returned to training at her Manchester base, Jones is preparing ahead of a trip to South Korea, with two weeks of intensive work on the agenda with her next target the World Championships.

The 19-year-old told Sky Sports: "Last time I went there, I think I was 18, and I did really well there, I just missed out on the gold by one point.

"That was a big shock to everyone so now it's going to be a different challenge because everyone's going to be expecting me to do well, all my opponents will know who I am and will be coming for me.

"I'm looking forward to it and hopefully I can get the gold and have the world title."

However, it is not a clear route to the top and getting back in tip-top condition following the Olympics has not been easy.

She added: "It's just horrible to be honest, to say you're Olympic champion and then you're not training good, you're not feeling good and your thinking, 'am I going to feel as good again?'

"But it just comes back and before I know it I will be feeling sharp again."
