Andy Carroll has been forced out of England's squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine.
The new West Ham United loan signing had an excellent debut in their 3-0 win over Fulham - before he was forced off with a hamstring injury.
Manager Sam Allardyce said after the game it was unlikely Carroll would be able to join up with the England squad.
The Football Association have now confirmed that Carroll has been ruled out of contention.
The FA also confirmed no decision on a possible replacement would be made until after Sunday's three Premier League games.
