Justin Rose sports a golden shirt on the final day
Justin Rose produced a storming finish with a six-under 66 in the final round of the US PGA Championship at Kiawah Island.
The 32-year-old Englishman, sporting a gold shirt in celebration of Team GB's success at London 2012, started with three straight birdies and recovered from a bogey at the fifth with five further birdies.
However, he slipped up with a bogey at the par-three 17th as he tried to put some early pressure on leader Rory McIlroy.
Rose said: "That was a really fun round of golf to be honest and the atmosphere was amazing, especially coming down the stretch.
"I saw the boys behind me were playing some pretty good stuff, but you never know what can happen around the finish here.
"I just tried to keep staying aggressive and I obviously had a hot hand. I was a little too aggressive at 17 but I don't mind that in that situation when you are trying to chase.
"It really was a lot of fun today and it was nice to make some putts when I really needed to as well."
