Latest under our scout's gaze is Mexican youngster Javier Hernandez - recommended by Sky Sports reader Tim Charlton.
The scout reports...
Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Mexican star Javier Hernandez for a reputed fee in the region of £10million.
Unknown to many of us, the Sky Sports Scout investigates United's latest signing.
Hernandez's thrilling emergence has already convinced United to splash the cash and he will now be looking to show everyone what he can do at the World Cup.
Nicknamed 'Chicharito' - meaning Little Pea, Hernandez was regarded as an exciting prospect from a young age but initially struggled to make much of an impact after breaking into the Guadalajara team as a teenager.
The striker's rise to prominence, though, has been stratospheric following a stunning start to his international career with four goals in his first four appearances.
The 21-year-old was already being discussed as the potential solution to Mexico's goalscoring problems after a prolific spell in domestic football when a deal was agreed for him to move to Old Trafford later in the summer.
El Tri have previously lacked a predatory finisher and Hernandez fits the bill with a deadly eye for goal, pace and trickery, although he may not be too much of a threat in the air at 5ft 7in.
Hernandez is a diminutive striker with a low centre of gravity and can turn sharply.
He is apt with both feet, and can score some spectacular goals as well as the poaching efforts which are the staple of his goalscoring diet.
The scout says...
United supporters will be looking forward to seeing what Hernandez has to offer but he has kept his focus on the World Cup rather than his imminent switch and will hope to start the opening game against hosts South Africa.
