The scout reports...
Vladimir Koman is an exceptional young playmaker and big things are expected of him.
The 20-year-old was born in Ukraine, but moved to Hungary as a youngster.
Not long after his move to Hungary, he was snapped up by Haladas. His progress was such that he was handed his first-team debut at the age of 15.
Soon after he was spotted by scouts from Sampdoria. After making his first-team debut for them in 2007, he was loaned him out to Serie B side Avellino in 2008 for the whole season - before joining Bari for this season.
Koman recently came to the fore at the World Under-20 Cup when he captained Hungary to third place, and he also finished as second top-scorer with five goals.
His performances in Egypt also brought him to the attention of a number of clubs including Liverpool.
Koman is a versatile midfielder, who is mainly at home in the middle of the park - although he can also play on the left.
He is an intelligent player who likes to dictate play and he has an excellent passing range which also sees him taking a lot of set-pieces.
Koman is also very good at breaking into the area and finishing off a move.
The scout says
Koman is an excellent attacking midfielder, who has huge potential - although at times his decision making could be better - but playing in Serie A will only see that improve.
Koman needs first-team football and if he can get that with Bari in the coming season, he could shine.
