The scout reports...

A fine Swedish prospect, Rasmus Elm is considered by many to be the biggest talent in Sweden since Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Kalmar FF coach Nanne Bergstrand snapped up the talented midfielder from local club Emmaboda IS in early 2005. During the last two years, Elm and his older brother Victor, have established themselves as key figures in the side which won the Swedish league in 2008.

Elm started as a left midfielder, but can play anywhere down the flank and is also adept in central midfield.

He has exceptional ball control and takes a very dangerous set-piece - which also includes a long throw. Despite his tender years he is already seen as a natural leader on the pitch.

An outstanding talent, who is aware of his qualities, but mature enough to know which skills he has to improve.

The scout says...

Elm is down to earth and wants to improve step by step. Rasmus opted to stay at Kalmar FF when his elder brother Victor moved on to Holland, but after breaking into the national team in early 2009, he is widely tipped to move to England or Spain at the end of the year.
