JAMIE REDKNAPP'S VIEW

"They have won trophies in seven out of the last nine years so for them not to win a trophy this season will be a disappointment to the players and Jose Mourinho – who would have felt he could come back and put his mark on things.

"He did not seem a happy man towards the end. It is hard to say it has been a major disappointment, because they came third but to lose to Sunderland in the Capital One Cup and to have failures against lesser teams, that is where it came unstuck. It is alright going to teams and parking the bus but you have to have that quality to open up sides. As much as they lacked a striker, I also think they have played with the handbrake on."

Hazard was Chelsea's top goalscorer after finding the back of the net on 14 occasions in the Premier League and also produced seven assists, which was more than any of his team-mates. With an average of 3.8 successful dribbles per game, the Belgian was the most successful of any player in that discipline in the 2013/14 top flight.
