Hamilton have confirmed full-back Stephen Hendrie will join Premier League side West Ham at the end of the season.

The 20-year-old, a product of the youth system at New Douglas Park, is out of contract in the summer and a deal between the two clubs has now been agreed.

Hendrie made his first team debut for Accies at the age of 16, and has since made more than 100 appearances in all competitions. He has also represented Scotland at U17, U19 and U21 levels.

A statement from the Scottish Premiership side read: "The club is delighted to announce that following a further approach from West Ham United for Stephen Hendrie, we have been able to reach agreement on a fee, and Stephen has signed with the London club.

"Furthermore we have agreed with West Ham that Stephen will remain with us as a player until the end of the season.
