Northampton Town have signed Nicky Adams following the midfielder's departure from Bury.
Adams was made available for transfer by the Shakers last week and the Cobblers have moved quickly to snap up the 28-year-old. Adams, who began his career with Bury before going on to play for several other clubs then returning to Gigg Lane, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract at Sixfields. His second spell with the Shakers saw him a regular in the side as Bury won promotion from League Two this season.
