Birmingham have signed Diego Fabbrini on loan from Watford for the rest of the season.

The forward stands by to make his Blues debut in their Sky Bet Championship visit of Rotherham on April 3.

Fabbrini, who can play out wide or through the middle, made his Italy debut against England in a 2-1 defeat in 2012 having started his career with Empoli.

He also made his Watford bow against Birmingham in 2013 and has made 29 appearances for the Hornets, scoring once.

The 24-year-old had been on loan at Millwall until this month, playing 12 times and scoring once - in the 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United in February.

Watford have a recall option after 28 days.
