Fulham boss Kit Symons has promised a squad overhaul in the summer, even if they survive in the Championship.

Symons' honeymoon period at Craven Cottage since taking over in September has long since ended, with Fulham just one place and six points above the drop zone following Wednesday night's 3-0 home defeat by Leeds.

The Cottagers have won just one of their last 11 matches and Symons admits things need to change next season.

He said: "There is a fragilty within the group, brought on by a long time of not having success.

"When I took over we had picked up one point from 21 and the squad wasn't in a great place. Things obviously picked up but it's always been a bit fragile and that 's not easy to change, it takes time.

"To be successful in the Championship you need to assemble a squad which can compete in the Championship and that's what we need to do. There will be changes in the summer, definitely."
