Partick Thistle have terminated the contract of Jordan McMillan following an internal investigation by the Premiership club.

The defender, who was initially suspended last month, has not played for over two months and the club has now taken the decision to cancel his contract.

A club statement read: “Following a thorough internal investigation, Partick Thistle Football Club yesterday took the decision to terminate the contract of Jordan McMillan with immediate effect.

"The club, including all of its representatives and employees, will be making no further comment and now consider the matter closed.”

The defender, who has made 39 appearances for Thistle, began his career with Rangers in 2005 before moving to Dunfermline in 2012 and switching to Firhill two years ago.
