Burnley manager Sean Dyche has no fears about the future of striker Danny Ings as speculation continues to grow leading up to the January transfer window.

Ings is out of contract in the summer at Turf Moof, and with no deal in place as of yet, his future at the club has remained unclear with a number of clubs rumoured to be interested in the forward.

"[I have] no concerns whatsoever,” Dyche said. “I've been asked that question for the last two years.

"It's just the reality of the situation and we have open dialogue with him and his agent. The club have made it quite clear how much they value the players we've got and we're in a good position cash-wise because we haven't spent a lot of money.

Ings has scored four goals for Clarets so far this season and remains an important part of the set-up at Turf Moor.

But, the Burnley boss said he had the backing from chairmen Mike Garlick and John Banaszkiewicz, who made it clear the striker will be staying put.

Dyche however does not rule out bringing in players himself as he looks to strengthen his squad when the transfer window opens.

"If anything, we're thinking about adding to the squad,” he said.
