Transfer news: Mani Dieseruvwe keen to leave Sheffield Wednesday on loan

Sheffield Wednesday striker Emmanuel Dieseruvwe is hoping to secure a loan move to boost his first-team chances at Hillsborough.

The 20-year-old has scored four goals in his last three appearances for the Owls' Under-21s and would relish a temporary spell of first-team football away from the club.

"Hopefully a chance to go out on loan will come in January," Dieseruvwe told the club's official website.

"To play league games and score goals is what you need and it would get me out there to show what I can do in competitive games.

"I enjoyed my time at Fleetwood. They had a very good side and a big squad so it was difficult to nail down a regular starting place.

"But in the meantime, I want to keep scoring goals and playing well."

Dieseruvwe made seven appearances in the Conference Premier for Hyde last season and then featured on seven occasions while on loan at Fleetwood.
