Transfer news: Chris Powell may draft in reinforcements at Huddersfield

Huddersfield manager Chris Powell has not ruled out any new signings this week before the loan window closes.

Defender Jack Robinson (Liverpool), midfielders Radoslaw Majewski (Nottingham Forest) and Diego Poyet (West Ham), plus striker Grant Holt (Wigan) are all currently on loan at the John Smith's Stadium and Powell could add some more before Thursday's deadline.

"If I say no and then something happens... I always feel that this period of time now, it does get a bit tricky because you do get a bit nervous as a manager because you don't want to be short," Powell said.

Forwards Jon Stead (Bradford) and Martin Paterson (Fleetwood) are among seven other players out on loan.

Powell added: "We have let one or two out. Equally we do have the recalls with Pato and Jon Stead if we have any problems in those areas.

"A few young players have gone out, which is right for their development, but I'll keep my eye out.

"I've got to make sure our squad's right and we have the right numbers to see us through to January 1.

"But there's nothing imminent with regards to in-comings or out-goings at the present time with any of the main players.

"But who knows? I might be on the phone constantly, so we'll wait and see."
