Sheffield Wednesday have added to their midfield options by signing Lewis McGugan on a short-term loan deal from Watford.
McGugan, 26, will be with the Owls until 1 January and could make his debut when they travel to Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield this weekend for a Saturday lunch-time Championship clash.
A dynamic midfielder with an eye for goal, McGugan is a product of the Nottingham Forest academy and played over 200 times for Forest, netting 44 times.
He joined Watford on a three-year contract prior to last season and has made 44 appearances for the Hornets. However, he has played only seven matches this season, and just two since 4 October.
He is now set for some game time with Sheffield Wednesday, who are 13th in the Championship standings, five points clear of the drop zone and eight points away from the play-off spots.
