Johnson hopes to keep Nugent

Yeovil are confident they can keep hold of Cardiff defender Ben Nugent until January.

The centre-back has been a regular for the Glovers in League One since being borrowed from the Bluebirds. Manager Gary Johnson believes the lure of regular football means the 20-year-old will be on board into 2015, no matter who takes the Cardiff job. "Whoever the new manager is, sometimes they will call everybody back and want to have a look at them," he told the Western Gazzette. "But he (Nugent) is growing with confidence every game and would probably rather be here playing than somewhere else and not playing. "He's still a young lad and does need the games. Hopefully we will keep him at least until January and then we will have to see whoever the Cardiff manager is what he wants to do with him."
