Bristol Rovers have signed Port Vale attacker Kaid Mohamed on loan until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old, no stranger to the area having previously played for the likes of Bath City, Swindon and Forest Green, joined Vale last summer from Cheltenham but has found his first-team opportunities limited. Cardiff-born Mohamed has made just three starts for Micky Adams' men and recently spent a loan spell with AFC Wimbledon. Rovers chairman Nick Higgs told the club's official website: "We are delighted to welcome Kaid to the club until the end of the season. "He is a player John has been chasing for a while and I am glad he has been able to get his man. "Kaid will provide great competition for places and will hopefully improve our strike rate."
