Jefferies brings Fernandez on board

Dunfermline have announced that international clearance has been received and they have signed Spanish goalkeeper Bernardo Dominguez Fernandez. The 32-year-old becomes Jim Jefferies' first since signing since inheriting the managerial reins at East End Park in March. With first-choice keeper Paul Gallacher sidelined for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury and Ian Turner returning to Preston after an ill-fated loan spell, the Pars find themselves short in an important area. That has left with the club with no option but to draft in cover as they attempt to steer clear of relegation trouble in the Scottish Premier League. Fernandez was available as a free agent after parting company with Segunda Division outfit SD Huesca in January.
