Premier League action returns this weekend and that means getting your Sky Sports Fantasy Football team back in shape.
Sky Sports Fantasy Football bosses are signing up the Tottenham starlet in their hordes as the Premier League returns this weekend. The 21-year-old striker racked up 22 points before the FA Cup break, having contributed two goals, two assists and the Sky Sports man of the match award in Spurs’ 5-3 victory over Chelsea. That haul took Kane’s overall points tally to 86, one which looks all the more impressive considering he has only started half of his side’s games this season. At just £6.7m, Kane is the most transferred in player over the last week – but the big question is whether he can maintain his impressive form? Spurs’ forthcoming fixtures suggest he’ll have a good chance of doing so, and with strugglers Crystal Palace (A), Sunderland (H) and West Brom (A) to come this month.
Bafetimbi Gomis - £7m
The French striker looks set to lead the line for Swansea in Bony's absence, either temporarily while Bony is away with the Ivory Coast just or long term if Bony joins Manchester City. While his record since joining the Swans in the summer is a modest one, with a solitary goal from four stats and 10 substitute appearances, previous form suggests he could be a prolific marksman. The 29-year-old has managed double figures in each of his last eight seasons in Ligue 1 and Garry Monk's side are set up perfectly to serve a lone striker. Gylfi Sigurdsson boasts the second most assists in the Premier League this season, while widemen Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge offer additional support.
Adam Johnson - £6.9m
The Sunderland midfielder is enjoying a rich run of form, with three goals in his last four Premier League games. The Black Cats host Liverpool this weekend and, while they'll be outsiders for the clash, it's worth remembering that Brendan Rodgers' men have kept just one clean sheet in their last five games, losing two of them. Leicester arguably deserved to leave Anfield with all three points on New Year's Day and created an abundance of chances, managing to get 16 shots away. While they only managed to hit the target with three, an in-form Johnson is capable of making them pay for any such suceptability.
Angel Di Maria - £8.6m
Having missed the festive period, the Premier League's most expensive player is available again for the visit of Southampton. The Argentina winger made a goalscoring return in the FA Cup on Sunday, coming off the bench to net late on at Yeovil. He also scored three league goals and has contributed six assists from 11 starts for Louis van Gaal's men before his lay-off, making him a dream all-round Fantasy asset. At such a hefty fee, only those looking to replace Yaya Toure will be interested, although the game's top scorer Eden Hazard should be considered first.
Danny Ings - £7m
Burnley's upturn in form is worth paying attention to, with three successive creditable draws setting them up nicely for a favourable run. Having held Manchester City, Newcastle and then Tottenham (in the FA Cup) to stalemates, they now face a run of QPR (H), Crystal Palace (H), Sunderland (A) and West Brom (H). Sean Dyche now also has last season's 20-goal frontman Sam Vokes available again, with the 25-year-old making a scoring return from the bench against Spurs following his long-term layoff. While Vokes is even cheaper at £6.6m, it looks unlikely that he'll be thrown straight back into the starting XI against Rangers, having played just 10 minutes on Monday night. The visit of Mark Hughes' men provides Ings with the ideal opportunity to add to his five goals and three assists as they bring the worst defensive record in the Premier League to Turf Moor.
