Fiorentina have reached an agreement to sign Hamburg midfielder Milan Badelj on a four-year deal, the club have confirmed.

Badelj, who was in the final year of his contract in Germany, will move to Florence for a fee reported to be in the region of £4million.

The 25-year-old Croatia international joined from Dinamo Zagreb in 2012 and went on to establish himself as a regular in the Bundesliga.

A statement on Fiorentina’s official website read: "Fiorentina and Hamburg can confirm that they have reached an agreement for the outright transfer of Croatian footballer Milan Badelj, subject to the signing of the contract."

Badelj is also joined at the Stadio Artemio Franchi by fellow countryman Ricardo Bagadur, 18, who has joined from Croatian side HNK Rijeka.
