Fleetwood capture Chicksen

Full-back Adam Chicksen has moved to Fleetwood on a one-month loan deal from Championship club Brighton.

The Cod Army are short of options in their left-back department as Stephen Crainey begins a two-match suspension and Danny Andrew (knee) is injured. Chicksen, 23, signed for the Seagulls in 2013, making just 13 appearances for them, but he has a wealth of experience at League One level with MK Dons, Leyton Orient and Gillingham. Speaking to Fleetwood's official website, manager Graham Alexander said: "He is a young player but has played a number of games in League One at MK Dons. "Adam is now at Brighton. Stephen Crainey has a two-game suspension so we wanted to bring a left back in. Adam is a good footballer, he has great energy and I think he will do well for us. "We did a lot of work during the week to try and find a left back with the profile of what we wanted to do. We felt Adam would fit into how we play. "We had to make a lot of phone calls to try and get him in. We are glad everything has been sorted. He trained with the lads today and we are looking forward to working with him."
