Defender Niall Maher will spend the rest of the season on loan with Blackpool having extended his stay from fellow Sky Bet Championship side Bolton.
The teenager, who is yet to make a senior appearance for Wanderers, recently moved to Bloomfield Road on a one-month deal and started his first game on Saturday in the 1-1 draw with Blackburn.
Maher has turned out for the Seasiders on three occasions so far and boss Lee Clark is hopeful he can feature in the bottom-of-the-table battle with Wigan this weekend having missed the defeat to Brentford on Tuesday night with a groin strain.
"Niall is a player we rate and I'm pleased that we've been able to keep him at the club," Clark said to the club's official website.
"He missed the game at Brentford with a slight groin problem but we hope he'll be back in contention for the weekend."
