Divock Origi's father has confirmed that Liverpool are firm favourites to land the Belgian and he hopes his future will be resolved by Monday.
Liverpool are locked in talks with Lille over a deal that will see the striker loaned back to the Ligue 1 side next season.
The 19-year-old, who impressed at this summer's World Cup finals, is due to fly to America this week for a medical with Liverpool - as they are currently on a pre-season training camp in Boston.
"The deal isn't done yet. Liverpool is still the most concrete option," Mike Origi told Mediahuis.
"There's another team that shows interest. We want to take a decision soon. On Monday, Divock is expected back at for their first training session.
"We would like to have everything wrapped before that day."
