The latest player to be spotlighted is Argentine starlet Angel Correa.

The scout reports...

Angel Correa is already rated as one of the best young prospects in Argentine football and we take a look at the teenager who could soon be heading to Europe.

He began playing at an early age for his local side Sagrado Corazon y Tiro, before at the age of 12 he was invited for a trial by San Lorenzo in Buenos Aries and he did enough to win a move to the capital.

More from Sky Sports Scout

Correa progressed well through the ranks, to such an extent that in 2012 Portuguese giants Benfica agreed terms to land him on a free transfer, but the San Lorenzo board moved quickly to persuade him to sign his first professional contract with them instead.

In early 2013, San Lorenzo coach Juan Antonio Pizzi promoted him to the first-team squad and he was handed his debut just days after his 18th birthday against Newell's Old Boys.

By the next season, Correa was a firm fixture in the first team and he has not looked back ever since, and his exciting style of play is certainly attracting a lot of attention.

Correa has been likened to Sergio Aguero in recent times, probably more to do with the fact his club Manchester City are one of those closely linked, although there are indeed similarities between the two.

Correa has a similar stature to that of Aguero, standing at 5ft 8in, but powerful and lightning off the mark. Aguero is much more of a striker than Correa, who will drop into the hole at most opportunities before trying to launch attacks - indeed you would argue he is more in the mould of a Diego Maradona or Carlos Tevez type player in terms of style.

Correa is still developing physically, given he has only been in the first team for 12 months, but he is growing stronger seemingly with every game. He clearly has an eye for goal, but his vision and passing stemming from his natural footballing brain is his main strength.

His future will be a hard one to plan out as clearly it will be best served in Argentina where he can play in his role off the forward, whereas if he moved to Europe he could easily find himself pushed out wide - which is not to say he could not play there, indeed as part of a 4-3-3 he would be very effective, but clearly through the middle is where he will be best served.

Correa is hugely exciting and his progress has been so rapid in the past 12 months, it is with huge relish that his form in the next year will be closely monitored by most of Europe's elite.

The scout says...

A brilliant talent, and when you're labelled the next Aguero, Tevez et al, it is clear that you could have something special and the chances are he will be too hard for one of Europe's top clubs to resist in the near future.
