Latest under our scout's gaze is Peru starlet Andy Polo - recommended by Sky Sports reader Richard Orchard.

The scout reports...

Andy Polo made his first-team debut for Universitario de Deportes earlier this year, but just over a dozen appearances later - he is already regarded as their prize asset.

Polo was handed his debut at just 16 when he featured in the local derby clash with Allianza in April.

But Polo was already being closely followed by Europe's giants at this stage, following his performances at the South American Under-17 Championship for Peru - where he scored three goals and was genuinely one of the most impressive players on display in Ecuador.

Polo, although less than 6ft, is powerful and stocky, but coupled with this he is light on his feet and possesses excellent close control.

Indeed it is because of his skills, and his ability with both feet, that he is often played on the wing, but there is little doubt he can be viewed as a striker.

Polo is already being heralded as Peru's next footballing superstar which has seen him inevitably likened to Jefferson Farfan, which is not a bad thing - but he is a different kind of player, he loves to be in the box scoring goals rather than creating them.

At 17 the battle for his signature is already on - with Arsene Wenger at the front of the queue, and you know when the Arsenal manager is leading the chase for a youngster that he has something to offer.

Whilst Liverpool are also in the hunt, a move to Germany now appears to be the most likely scenario for Polo.

The scout says...

Genuine talent, who at 17 looks to have the world at his feet. Brilliant finisher with rapid feet and skill.

Looks odds on to move to Europe in January, a sensible choice could see him emerge as a top-class striker sooner rather than later.
