Latest under our scout's gaze is Costa Rican starlet Joel Campbell - recommended by Sky Sports reader Ian Cox.

The scout reports...

With the Under-20 World Cup in full swing, it is an ideal opportunity to catch a glimpse of some of the best young talent on the planet.

But one player was already in our sights before the tournament in Colombia, and that was Costa Rica's Joel Campbell.

The Saprissa striker has been hitting the headlines in recent weeks due to Arsenal's pursuit of the teenager.

Campbell is without doubt a brilliant young player, and when you hail from a footballing out-post like Costa Rica it is little surprise that his emergence is such big news.

He is a product of Saprissa's youth system and made his senior debut back in 2009 but his senior experience has been limited and he has seen more action with Costa Rica's youth sides around the world.

He was sent on loan to Puntarenas to get more action in January this year, and despite only playing in fewer than a dozen first-team games he was called into Costa Rica's senior squad for the Gold Cup.

Campbell has since scored twice for his national side, and is now back playing for the Under-20s at the youth World Cup.

But his future now looks very much to lie away from Central America, with Arsenal leading the chase for his signature - although the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United are also keen.

And what do they all see in him? Well even at first glance it is easy to see what a tremendous prospect Campbell is, and arguably he looks as if he could push for first-team football already.

Very much a striker, but finds himself out wide now and then, he has a sumptuous left foot and his finishing ability is tremendous.

Pace and power are also in his armoury, and although rough around the edges he does look be the real deal.

The scout says...

His future will be decided in the coming weeks, but a move to Arsenal would surely see him nurtured well - although Arsene Wenger is by no means guaranteed to land him.

A good campaign in Colombia will see Campbell's stock rise further which could lead to an auction for his services - either way it seems he will be moving this summer.
