Latest under our scout's gaze is Zambia starlet Emmanuel Mbola - recommended by Sky Sports reader Cliff Fortune.

The scout reports...

Emmanuel Mbola has recently come to prominence after becoming a target for Tottenham Hotspur.

Sky Sports Scout now checks on the player who is hoping to seal a move to England.

Mbola is just 16-years-old, but he is no ordinary youngster, and despite his tender age he can boast more than 20 full international caps.

Having made his full international debut aged just 14, it is little surprise that he has been long-tipped for stardom.

Mbola only began playing at senior level in 2007, but he was soon featuring regularly for his local side Mining Rangers.

He was soon spotted by Zambian champions Zanaco and they snapped him up, but he did not stay for long as a move to Europe beckoned.

Armenian champions Pyunik Yerevan signed him, which gave him the chance to play in the Champions League, and he became the first Zambian ever to compete in Europe's top club competition when he played against Dynamo Zagreb at the start of this season.

Mbola was capped by his country for the first time as he played against Angola before his move to Armenia.

Now, after just one season with Pyunik, Mbola is attracting attention from across Europe with Spurs showing particular interest.

Mbola, as you would expect given his experience, is well built for a teenager and although naïve a times is an excellent defender.

His pace is a particular aspect of his game that he exploits as he looks to break whenever possible - very much in a wing-back fashion.

But Mbola can defend too, unlike some modern full-backs, and his tackling is robust to say the least.

His passing and distribution does need some fine tuning, but that aspect of his game will no doubt improve with age.

The scout says...

Could easily be likened to fellow Africans Taye Taiwo and Arthur Boka, Mbola looks to have all the credentials of a top-class full-back.

If he gets his move to Spurs, then his future will be in very safe hands, but even so he looks an exciting prospect.
